Irish Moss
Why I grow it
I like plants that fill the little spaces other plants ignore. Irish Moss forms a very low, dense carpet of fine green foliage, making it useful between stepping stones, along path edges, around rocks or anywhere you want the ground covered without adding height.
It also produces tiny white flowers, but for me the main attraction is that soft green carpet.

In the garden
Irish Moss works particularly well tucked between pavers or stepping stones and around the edges of paths and beds. It can also be used beneath or around larger plants where you want a very low layer of greenery.
It prefers conditions that don't completely dry out, so it's better suited to those slightly cooler, damper garden pockets than somewhere baking and bone-dry all summer.
Care
Sun to part shade, with reasonably moist but well-drained soil. Keep watered while establishing and during dry periods. It can cope with occasional light foot traffic, but isn't intended to replace a lawn where people are constantly stomping about.
What you’ll receive
One established Irish Moss plant, ready to plant out and gradually spread.
Plants naturally vary in size and shape and may be supplied in reused nursery pots or growing bags — perfectly useful plastic doesn't need replacing simply because it doesn't match.
