Comsos Double Click Snow Puff

Comsos Double Click Snow Puff

$5.00

A beautiful, unusual cosmos producing masses of fluffy, double and semi-double white flowers with delicate, ruffled petals.

The soft, cloud-like blooms float above finely divided, feathery foliage, bringing a wonderfully romantic, informal feel to summer gardens.

Perfect for cottage gardens, pollinator-friendly planting and cutting for the house.

Why I Grow It

I love cosmos for their generous flowering, delicate foliage and ability to bring movement and life into a garden.

Double Click Snow Puff takes everything I enjoy about ordinary cosmos and adds something rather special — those wonderfully ruffled, almost pompom-like white flowers.

It's the sort of plant that looks beautiful growing among vegetables, herbs and other flowers, rather than being confined to a formal flower border.

And cosmos are wonderfully rewarding to grow from seed!

In the Kitchen

This cosmos is grown for its ornamental flowers rather than as an edible crop.

However, it's a lovely addition to a productive kitchen garden, bringing flowers into vegetable beds and encouraging visiting insects.

The long stems also make beautiful cut flowers for informal arrangements.

Pick flowers regularly to encourage more blooms.

In the Garden

Double Click Snow Puff produces tall, airy plants with finely divided foliage and a succession of white flowers through summer and into autumn.

The flowers vary naturally in their degree of doubleness, with some fully double and others semi-double.

Cosmos work particularly well planted in informal groups, mixed borders, cottage gardens and productive potagers.

Their open, branching growth creates movement without making the garden feel crowded.

Mature height: Approximately 90–120 cm
Spread: Approximately 40–60 cm
Flowering: Summer through autumn
Growth habit: Upright, branching annual

Care

  • Position: Full sun.

  • Soil: Well-draining soil; avoid excessive fertiliser.

  • Planting: Transplant after frost danger has passed.

  • Spacing: Approximately 30–45 cm between plants.

  • Watering: Water regularly while establishing. Once established, plants tolerate some dry conditions.

  • Feeding: Minimal feeding is usually needed. Excess nitrogen encourages foliage rather than flowers.

  • Support: Tall plants may appreciate light staking in exposed gardens.

  • Maintenance: Deadhead regularly to encourage continued flowering.

  • Cut flowers: Harvest when blooms are beginning to open.

What You'll Receive
