Sub Arctic Plenty Tomato
Why I grow it
I've grown Sub Arctic Plenty for around ten years, which probably says more than any catalogue description could. It's ridiculously reliable — an early, compact tomato that gets on with producing fruit without demanding half the garden or endless attention. One I keep coming back to because it simply earns its place.

In the kitchen
A really useful everyday tomato: good for salads, sandwiches, lunchboxes and eating straight from the garden. The sort of versatile red tomato that's easy to find a use for when they're coming in regularly.
In the garden
Sub Arctic Plenty was bred for cooler, shorter growing seasons and is known for cropping early. Its compact, determinate habit makes it particularly useful where space is limited or you want tomatoes that don't require the substantial structures of big indeterminate varieties.
Care
Grow in a sunny position in fertile, well-drained soil. Water consistently as the fruit develops and feed during flowering and fruiting. As a determinate variety, there's no need to treat it like a sprawling indeterminate tomato — let it form its naturally compact plant and support it if the crop becomes heavy.
What you'll receive
One healthy, established tomato seedling grown here at A Garden Between. Plants naturally vary in size and shape and may be supplied in reused nursery pots or growing bags — perfectly useful plastic doesn't need replacing simply because it doesn't match.
